The short version

Restfly collects no data. Nothing you do ever leaves your browser.

What Restfly stores

Restfly keeps the following information in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local), on your device only:

• Your settings: reminder interval, pause and snooze state, and whether the optional page-dimming feature is enabled.
• Your break statistics: fireflies caught, daily streak, and a rolling 28–90 day history of completed breaks.

This data is never transmitted anywhere. Restfly makes no network requests, uses no analytics, and requires no account. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.

Permissions

• Alarms, notifications, storage — power the reminder timer, the break notification, and local stats.
• Idle — detects when you are away from the computer so the timer can pause. Idle state is used in the moment and never stored.
• Scripting + optional site access — only if you enable "Dim the page when a break is overdue" in the popup, Restfly inserts a cosmetic dimming overlay into your current tab and removes it when your break starts. It never reads or collects page content. This permission is off by default and can be revoked at any time by unchecking the toggle.

Third parties

There are none. No third-party services, SDKs, trackers, or servers are involved in any way.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
